Mae’r yrnau ceramig hyn yn gweithredu fel cofeb i’r goeden ffawydd Coed Coexist. Rwyf wedi casglu peth o’r goeden ffawydd a gwympodd, llosgi’r pren y tu mewn i’r yrnau a daflwyd ar yr olwyn, adfer y lludw a’i drawsnewid yn wydredd i addurno’r yrnau mewn ail danio.
Mae yrnau yn wrthrychau sy’n gweithredu fel mannau gorffwys ar gyfer lludw rhywbeth a fu unwaith yn fyw. Mae’r yrnau coffa hyn yn dal y deunydd wedi’i drawsnewid o’r goeden ffawydd a oedd gynt yn fyw, ac yn cynnig cyfle i fyfyrio ac ystyried ei bodolaeth, a’i thaith barhaus ar ôl bywyd.

These ceramic urns act as a memorial for the Coed Coexist beech tree. I have collected some of the beech tree that fell, burnt the wood inside the thrown urns, retrieved the ash and transformed it into glaze to decorate the urns in a secondary firing.
Urns are objects that act as resting places for the ashes of something that was once living. These memorial urns hold the transformed material from the once-living beech tree, and offer a prompt for reflection and contemplation of its existence, and its ongoing journey after life.
