Collection: Verity Pulford
Mae Verity Pulford yn artist gwydr sy’n byw ac yn gweithio yn Sir Ddinbych, Gogledd Cymru. Mae ei gwaith wedi’i ysbrydoli gan gymhlethdod bywyd, yn enwedig y strwythurau manwl a’r patrymau tyfiant a geir ym myd natur. Mae’n cael ei dylanwadu gan y profiad emosiynol o fod ym myd natur ac wrth ei arsylwi’n agos.
Mae golau yn chwarae rôl ganolog yn ei hymarfer – y naws hudolus y mae’n ei chreu o fewn tirweddau naturiol a’r ffordd y mae’n rhyngweithio â gwydr trwy gysgodion, adlewyrchiadau, a’r cyferbyniad rhwng arwynebau mat a sgleiniog.
Mae Pulford hefyd yn cael ei chyfareddu gan gatalogio natur. Mae arteffactau hanes natur, cyanoteipiau cynnar, pelydrau-X, delweddau microsgopig, a lluniadau botanegol i gyd yn llywio ei hiaith weledol. Mae hi’n aml yn archwilio syniadau o realaeth hudolus, gan greu ffurfiau hybrid wedi’u hysbrydoli gan, neu sy’n cyfuno, gwahanol blanhigion ac organebau.
Mae ei gwaith yn cynnwys ystod eang o brosesau, ac mae’n mwynhau cyfuno technegau gwydr gan gynnwys castio, pâte de verre, ffurfio mewn ffwrn, peintio ac ysgythru. Weithiau mae’n integreiddio deunyddiau ceramig a naturiol yn ei hymarfer

Verity Pulford is a glass artist living and working in Denbighshire, North Wales. Her work is inspired by the complexity of life, particularly the intricate structures and growth patterns found in nature. She is influenced by the emotional experience of being in nature and observing it closely.
Light plays a central role in her practice - both the magical atmosphere it creates within natural landscapes and the way it interacts with glass through shadows, reflections, and the contrast between matt and glossy surfaces.
Pulford is also fascinated by the cataloguing of nature. Natural history artefacts, early cyanotypes, X-rays, microscopic imagery, and botanical drawings all inform her visual language. She often explores ideas of magical realism, creating hybrid forms inspired by, or combining different plants and organisms.
Her work incorporates a wide range of processes, and she enjoys combining glass techniques including casting, pâte de verre, kiln-forming, painting, and etching. She sometimes integrates ceramic and natural materials into her practice.
