Collection: Marged Pendrell
Mae Marged Pendrell yn artist sefydledig sy’n byw ac yn gweithio yn Rhyd, ger Penrhyndeudraeth. Yn wreiddiol o Sir Gaerfyrddin, hyfforddodd mewn Celf Gain/Cerflunio yng Ngholeg Dyfed a Choleg Celf Loughborough rhwng 1974 a 1977.
Mae wedi gweithio fel artist proffesiynol ers 1978, wedi arddangos yn eang ac wedi cyfrannu at nifer o arddangosfeydd grŵp yn y DU ac yn rhyngwladol.
Fel addysgwr bu’n gweithio fel darlithydd BA/MA mewn Celf Gain ym Mhrifysgol Cymru, Bangor. Mae ei phrofiad blaenorol hefyd yn cynnwys gweithdai ysgolion ac orielau, ysgolion haf, a chyrsiau oedolion dan arweiniad artist mewn amryw o leoliadau.
Mae Marged wedi cymryd rhan mewn nifer o brosiectau cydweithredol, gan gynnwys “Merched Chwarel” – prosiect ymchwil ac arddangos yn ymateb i etifeddiaeth y chwareli i fenywod cyfoes yng nghymunedau llechi Gogledd Cymru (www.merchedchwarel.org).
Mae ei chomisiynau’n cynnwys “Ports, Past and Present”, cydweithrediad gyda Phrifysgol Cymru Aberystwyth, yn archwilio hanes a threftadaeth porthladd Caergybi a symudiad pobl ar draws Môr Iwerddon i Borthladd Dulyn. www.portspastpresent.eu
Mae wedi cynnal nifer o breswyliadau cenedlaethol a rhyngwladol, er enghraifft Canolfan Gelf Áras Éanna ar Ynys Inis Oírr, Ynysoedd Aran, Iwerddon.
Mae Marged wedi derbyn nifer o grantiau, gwobrau ac ysgoloriaethau.

Marged Pendrell is an established artist living and working in Rhyd, near Penrhyndeudraeth. Originating from Carmarthenshire, she trained in Fine Art/Sculpture at Dyfed College and Loughborough College of Art 1974-1977.
She has worked as a professional artist since 1978, has exhibited widely and contributed to a number of group exhibitions both in the UK and internationally.
As an educator she worked as a BA /MA lecturer in Fine Art at University of Wales, Bangor. Previous experience also include schools/ gallery workshops/summer schools/ and artist-led adult courses in various locations.
Marged has taken part in a number of collaborative projects, which included ‘ Merched Chwarel’ -a research and exhibiting response to the quarry legacy of contemporary women in the slate communities of North Wales (www.merchedchwarel.org)
Her commissions include ‘Ports, Past and Present’ a collaboration with the University of Wales Aberystwyth, exploring the history and heritage of the port of Holyhead and the movement of people across the Irish Sea to Dublin Port. www.portspastpresent.eu
She has undertaken a number of national and International residencies e.g. Aras Éanna Arts Centre on Inis Oírr, Aran Islands, Ireland.
Marged has received various grants and awards and scholarships.
