“Mae tarddiad fy ngwaith presennol yn y tir a’r ardaloedd arfordirol o’m cwmpas, y mannau gwyllt ac agored rwy’n rhedeg ac yn cerdded arnynt. Gan weithio mewn acrylig, rwy'n ymateb i'r cipolwg a gaf ar y siapiau, cychod, creigiau,  a'r lliwiau sy'n mynd heibio i mi ac yn fy mhlesio.   Mae fy mhroses yn defnyddio brasluniau, ffotograffiaeth, gwaith ar bapur hyd at wneud printiau ac acrylig, bordiau a phaneli pren.

 Ar ôl gyrfa mewn hysbysebu, es i goleg celf pan yn fy 40au, gan fwriadu gwneud cwrs blwyddyn, ond roedd yr awydd yn gryf i gario ymlaen, felly dyma wneud cwrs BA Brodwaith yn Ysgol Gelf Manceinion.

Rwyf wedi cyflwyno gweithdai a rhaglenni celfyddydol llawrydd mewn sawl lleoliad, gan gynnwys ysbytai, orielau ac o fy stiwdio fy hun.

Rwy'n gweithio o fy stiwdio yng Nghaer lle rwy'n byw gyda fy ngŵr a Ruby, ein Labrador.”

“My current work has its starting points in the land and coastal areas around me, the wild and open places I run and walk. Working in acrylics, I am responding to the glimpses and glances of the shapes, boats, rocks, contours, and the colours that pass me by and please me.  Less of a direct representation and much more of a response to my experience. My process uses sketches, photography, works on paper through to printmaking and acrylics, wooden board, and panels.

An interesting fact – I never sat a science exam subject in my life. After a career in advertising, I went to art college in my mid 40’s, initially for a one-year course – a sort of sabbatical – but I couldn’t stop there, and I went on to do the BA Embroidery at Manchester School of Art.

I’ve delivered freelance arts workshops and programmes in several settings, including hospitals, galleries and from my own studio.

I work from my Chester studio where I live with my husband and Ruby, our Labrador.”
