Astudiodd Noёlle Gelfyddyd Gain yn Ysgol Gelf St Martin, Llundain. Mae hi a’i theulu wedi byw yn hen fwthyn y cipar ym Mhlas Tan y Bwlch yn Nyffryn Ffestiniog ers bron i ddeugain mlynedd. Mae ei gwaith yn adlewyrchu ei chariad a’i phryder am y wlad o’i chwmpas.
Ers 2008 mae Noёlle wedi bod yn peintio, darlunio ac ysgrifennu bob tymor yn y goedwig fynyddig ger ei chartref ac ym mhendraw Llŷn yn edrych dros Ynys Enlli. Mae hi'n gwneud paentiadau lled-haniaethol sy'n ceisio dal yn weledol hanfod profiad - boed yn y dirwedd neu'n byw mewn byd cyfnewidiol a chymhleth. Mae hi hefyd yn gwneud llyfrau artistiaid a gedwir yng nghasgliadau'r Llyfrgell Brydeinig, V & A a Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru.
Gwnaethpwyd ei chyfrol artist cyntaf ‘Intimate Land’ yn 1988 fel alarnad am blannu cannoedd o erwau o goed conwydd yn Nhan y Bwlch yn y 1960au. Prynodd ei theulu 30 erw o blanhigfeydd conwydd ar ddechrau’r 1990au a’u cwympo gan ailblannu coed brodorol a’r tir hwn testun y ffolio cydweithredol Coetir Hafod - Coedwig Law Eryri gyda Kim Atkinson. Mae Noёlle a Kim wedi cydweithio ar nifer o brosiectau ers 2010, yn fwyaf diweddar yn ystod eu cyfnod preswyl yng Nghoedwigoedd Glaw Is-Antarctig De Chile.

Ysbrydolwyd paentiadau a llyfrau artistiaid cydweithredol Mynydd Tir-y-cwmwd Noёlle a Kim Atkinson gan y coetir a'r pentir ger Plas Glyn y Weddw ac fe'u crëwyd fel rhan o'u harddangosfa 'Gardd Mwsog' yn y Plas yn 2024.

Noёlle studied Fine Art at St Martin's School of Art, London.  She and her family have lived in the old game keepers cottage for Plas Tan y Bwlch in the Vale of Ffestiniog for nearly forty years. Her work reflects her love and concern for the surrounding land. 
Since 2008 Noёlle has been painting, drawing and writing in each season in the mountain woodland near her home and on the headland of Pen Llŷn overlooking Ynys Enlli. She makes semi-abstract paintings which attempt to visually capture the essence of experience - whether of being in landscape or living in a changing and complicated world. She also makes artist's books which are held in collections of the British Library, V & A and National Library of Wales.
Her first artist's book 'Intimate Land' was made in 1988 as a lament for the planting of hundreds of acres of conifers in Tan y Bwlch in the 1960’s.  Her family bought and felled thirty acres of conifer plantation in the early 1990’s replanting with native trees and this land is the subject of the collaborative folio Hafod Woodland - Snowdonia Rainforest with Kim Atkinson. Noёlle and Kim have collaborated on a number of projects since 2010, most recently during their residency in the Sub-Antarctic Rainforests of Southern Chile
 

Noёlle and Kim Atkinson's Mynydd Tir-y-cwmwd collaborative paintings and artists' books were inspired by the woodland and headland close to Plas Glyn y Weddw and were created as part of their exhibition 'Moss Garden' at the Plas in 2024.
