Collection: Lindsey Moran
Mae ymarfer creadigol Lindsey yn archwilio'r berthynas rhwng gwneud printiau a ffotograffiaeth. Gan weithio gyda phlatiau ysgythru ffotopolymer, mae hi'n cyflawni gweadau cyfoethog a thonau parhaus sy'n anrhydeddu technegau gwneud printiau traddodiadol wrth gofleidio posibiliadau technolegol modern. Mae hi'n croesawu'r heriau technegol a'r darganfyddiadau serendipitaidd sy'n rhan annatod o wneud printiau, gan ganiatáu i'r eiliadau annisgwyl hyn arwain a chyfoethogi ei harchwiliad artistig.
Dechreuodd ei thaith academaidd gyda gradd BEd Anrh. mewn Celf ac Addysg o Goleg Prifysgol Caer, lle derbyniodd y Wobr Academaidd am Gelf. Yn dilyn ei gradd israddedig, dyfarnwyd Cymrodoriaeth Ymchwil iddi i ymchwilio i 'Rôl y Cyfrifiadur mewn Printio Celfyddyd Gain'—ymchwil a sefydlodd y sylfaen dechnolegol sy'n parhau i ddylanwadu'n uniongyrchol ar ei dull hybrid o brosesau traddodiadol a digidol heddiw. Yn ddiweddarach cwblhaodd radd MEd mewn Addysg Gelfyddydau gyda ffocws ar greadigrwydd a dychymyg. Mae Lindsey yn gweithio o'i stiwdio yn Northern Lights sydd wedi'i leoli yn Nhriongl Baltig Lerpwl.
Lindsey's creative practice explores the relationship between printmaking and photography. Working with photopolymer etching plates, she achieves rich textures and continuous tones that honour traditional printmaking techniques while embracing modern technological possibilities. She welcomes both the technical challenges and serendipitous discoveries that are integral to printmaking, allowing these unexpected moments to guide and enrich her artistic exploration.
Her academic journey began with a BEd Hons. in Art and Education from University College Chester, where she received the Academic Award for Art. Following her undergraduate degree, she was awarded a Research Fellowship to investigate 'The Role of the Computer in Fine Art Printmaking'—research that established the technological foundation that continues to directly influence her hybrid approach to traditional and digital processes today. She later completed an MEd in Arts Education with a focus on creativity and imagination. Lindsey works from her studio at Northern Lights located in Liverpool's Baltic Triangle.
