Collection: Camilla Jane Gittins

Ganwyd Camilla yn Sir Drefaldwyn ym 1988 a thyfodd i fyny ar fferm yng nghanolbarth Cymru. Astudiodd Frodwaith yng Ngholeg Celf a Dylunio Manceinion, gan raddio gyda BA (Anrh). Ar ôl ei hastudiaethau, treuliodd dros naw mlynedd yn gweithio fel Dylunydd Cysyniad Creadigol yn Llundain ac Amsterdam.
Bellach yn artist llawn amser ers bron i saith mlynedd, mae Camilla wedi dychwelyd i Swydd Amwythig yn ddiweddar gyda'i gŵr a'i dau o blant ifanc. Mae hi'n fwyaf adnabyddus am ei phaentiadau tirwedd lled-haniaethol, wedi'u hysbrydoli gan y berthnasoedd sy'n newid yn barhaus rhwng tir, môr ac awyr. Mae ei gwaith yn archwilio haenu, gwneud marciau, a dyfnder ffurfiau naturiol, gan ddefnyddio palet lliwgar ond tawel ar draws acrylig, ffon olew, pastel a graffit.

Camilla was born in Montgomeryshire in 1988, growing up on a farm in the heart of mid-Wales. She studied at Manchester College of Art & Design where she obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Embroidery. After graduating, she spent over nine years working in London and Amsterdam as a Creative Concept Designer for Jack Wills and Tommy Hilfiger.
For nearly seven years, Camilla has been a full-time artist and has recently moved back to Shropshire with her husband and two young children. 
Camilla is deeply inspired by nature and is best known for her semi-abstract landscape paintings. Her paintings are sensitive reactions to the ever-changing landscapes and the connecting visible layers between land, sea and sky. She is fascinated by the depth and complexity of the layers, shapes, and patterns found in nature.
Camilla's paintings are characterized by her love of layering and mark-making, exploring the interplay between dense and transparent layers. They feature a colourful yet calming palette and she works with a variety of mediums, including acrylic, oil sticks, pastel and graphite.
