//

A preserver of Ainu culture living in Biratori Town, Hokkaido. After joining the Biratori Ainu Culture Preservation Society, she has continued to perform ancient dances throughout Hokkaido, and currently serves as a district director of the same society.

Influenced by her mother, she learned Attushi weaving (a traditional textile) using the bark of the linden tree and the elm tree, and produced numerous bolts of fabric under the tutelage of her teacher, Rumiko Fujitani. Her high level of skill was recognised, and she received the Hokkaido Governor's Award at the Hokkaido Ainu Traditional Crafts Exhibition.

Currently, she works as the caretaker of the restored Porochise (large house) and also as an instructor, teaching tourists how to weave Saranip (mats).
