This is one of Toru Kaizawa's representative works, part of his "Tree Fabric" series. There was a crack in the beech wood, so he turned it into a zip. The zip fitting is made using the Tumushi and Ainu craft technique. The idea is to unravel and explore new forms of Ainu artistic expression by opening the zip.
