Casglais rai naddion pren o’r ffawydden, gyda’r bwriad o edrych arnynt o dan ficrosgop, ac yna datblygu’r gwaith o hynny ymlaen.
Roedd y delweddau microsgopig y gallwn eu creu fy hun ychydig yn gyfyngedig, felly defnyddiais ddelweddau o ficrosgop electron o bren ffawydd ac o ficro-organebau sy’n gysylltiedig â thwf coed.
Mae’r gyfres hon o baentiadau yn canolbwyntio ar rai o’r perthnasau symbiotig sy’n digwydd rhwng y goeden, y pridd, y micro-organebau, y rhwydwaith ffwngaidd a’r bacteria planhigion sy’n ei chynnal, ac y mae hithau’n eu cynnal hwythau.
I collected some wood shavings taken from the beech tree, with a view to look at them under a microscope, and take it from there.
The microscopic images I could make myself were a bit limited so I extended into electron microscope images of beech wood and of microorganisms associated with the growth of trees.
This group of paintings focuses on some of the symbiotic relationships that occur between the tree, the soil, the microorganisms, fungal network and plant bacteria that support it, and which it supports.
