Paent olew ar brimer acrylig ar goed ceirios / Oil paint on acrylic primer on cherry wood
30 x 142 x 2cm
“Mae hwn yn ddarn o’r goeden geirios, nid o’r ffawydden. Cefais ddarn o fonyn y geiriosen, ac mi lifiwyd hwn yn styllod i mi gan Jeremy, fy ngŵr. Wedi sychu yn daclus yn fy ngweithdy am fisoedd, mi blaeniwyd y styllod gorau. Dewisais ddau ohonynt i baentio arnynt. Defnyddiais dâp masgio i ymneilltuo hirsgwar ar gyfer primer ac wedyn paentio mewn olew a chyllell balet.
Roeddwn wedi bwriadu paentio llun fasa’n gysylltiedig a choed ceirios, ond does dim dail, blodau na cheirios ar y coed ynghanol y gaeaf, felly mi benderfynnais baentio afalau o’r berllan sy’n dal ar y canghenau.”

“This is a piece of the cherry tree, not the beech tree. I got a piece of the stem of the cherry, and this was sawn into a stilt for me by Jeremy, my husband. After drying neatly in my workshop for months, I presented the best stilts. I chose two of them to paint on. I used masking tape to indent a rectangle for primer and then painted with oil and a palette knife.
I had intended to paint a vase picture related to cherry trees, but there are no leaves, flowers or cherries on the trees in the middle of winter, so I decided to paint apples from the orchard that are still on the branches.”
