Daw fy nghysylltiad â Llŷn o lawer o hafau plentyndod a dreuliwyd ger Rhiw a Phorth Neigwl. Mae’r benwisg hon, wedi’i gwneud o fwrdd wedi’i felino o’r goeden, ynghyd â helyg a dyfwyd gartref a brigau a nodwyddau pîn, yn adlewyrchu rhai o’r stormydd dramatig a welais yn y bae. Mae hwn yn ddarn cydweithredol; mae'r pen ffigurol wedi'i wneud gan Gareth Hibbert allan o fwrdd wedi'i falu o'r goeden wedi cwympo. Dewisodd Gareth y patrwm graen a'r gorffeniad i gyd-fynd â'r penwisg. Gwnaeth hefyd yr holl osodiadau ar gyfer yr helygen a dyluniodd y mowntiad wal.
My connection to the Llyn is from many childhood summers spent near Rhiw and Porth Neigwl. This headdress made from a milled board from the tree, with homegrown willows and pine needles, reflects some of the dramatic storms I witnessed in the bay. This is a collaborative piece, the figurative head has been made by Gareth Hibbert out of a milled board from the fallen tree. Gareth chose the grain pattern and finish to complement the headdress. He also made all the fixings for the willow and designed the wall mounting.
