The beech nuts for the stoppers were collected from the fallen beech tree, I used the burn-out method of glass casting, creating a mould from the original. The organic matter is then burned away, leaving a void into which molten glass is cast, preserving the delicate detail of the natural form.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe bottle shapes are taken from an old Victorian glass bottle, referencing the history of Oriel Plas Glyn y Weddw and the development of its gardens. I made a silicone mould from this bottle, produced a replica wax model, and then created the final casting mould.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe colours and textures of the glass in the bottles reference the coastline and the sea—the layers of water, waves, clouds, and sky.
