Her early career focused on wooden sculpture, exploring themes of the feminine through touch and movement, to amplify the natural energy of the material. This evolved into a period of researching human-machine and machine-machine interactions through interactive analogue sculptures, where you could physically manipulate the location and movement of electricity as data and translated into real-time sound. During her time as curator, and in her recent practice as an artist, Olga examines the intertwining of nature and culture, aiming to challenge the fast pace of modern life. She argues that capitalism has thinned our fundamental connection with the natural world and in doing so, we have grown apart from the understanding of our own essence. For the Coed Coexist project, Olga presents Coed-Code, a photographic documentation of a simple action.

Ffotograffiaeth, argraffwyd mewn lliw mewn Melfed Glwad yr Haf 255gsm o Felin Sant Cuthbert / Photography, colour printed in Somerset Enhanced Velvet 255gsm from St Cuthbert's mill

Dyma weithred ystumiol a ddogfennais trwy ffotograffiaeth ym mis Gorffennaf 2025 mewn coedwig gymysg. I created this piece by performing a minimal rotation of a found branch against the woodland backdrop where I firstdiscovered it during my daily walk. Holding the branch with my left hand, I photographed it with my phone on the right hand. Through this process, I seek to understand simple, intimate, and meditative idea as I try to understand the nature of the forest and my own place within it, questioning the complex yet simple essence of our relationship with trees.

Ffawydd / Beech

84 x 50cm

Creais y cerflun fel gwahoddiad i fyfyrio, gan agor deialog i gwestiynu ein cysylltiad a dyfodol coedwigoedd ledled y byd.
