He spent his school years at Bury Grammar school, where all his energy went into his art classes. After leaving school he went on to study art, followed by 10 years working in the family wallpaper and fabric business, where he acquired skills with clients and their interior design aspirations.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eAfter having sold his paintings for many years in galleries across the country his move to the Lake District has been a huge inspiration for the development of his work. He finds living in such a beautiful area with such varied local landscapes and ever-changing weather conditions and skies a constant observation process.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eHis studio is based on his Windermere home where he lives with his wife Emma, daughter Ava and their dogs.
