Ar hyn o bryd, mae’n gadeirydd rhwydwaith artistiaid CARN ac yn ymddiriedolwr Rhwydwaith Llesiant ac Iechyd Celfyddydau Cymru (WAHWN).\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eJoseph has qualifications in Applied Arts, Countryside and Landscape Management and Arts and Cultural Enterprise, as well as over 20 years’ experience of working as a practising artist and metalworker.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eHe is a Lead Specialist Advisor at Natural Resources Wales, where he holds a national portfolio for recreation, culture and tourism, developing high-profile engagement programmes with partners, including co-designing and delivering the Creative Nature Programme with the Arts Council of Wales. Previously, he was an advisor on habitat vulnerability, recreation impacts, behaviour change and conflict resolution for the Countryside Council for Wales and worked as a Warden in Eryri National Park.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eHis work has been exhibited internationally and across the UK, including at Super Gallery Vienna, Galeri Caernarfon, Pontio and Tŷ Pawb. He has undertaken residencies at a variety of sites, from the Burning Man Festival to the Cape Horn Biosphere Reserve to Ynys Enlli and has been awarded numerous grants for creative projects and R\u0026amp;D. He is a Clore Fellow and holds a number of outdoor leadership qualifications. It created a group of commissioners, whose role it was to seek out ‘any land’ for the purpose of\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eafforestation, to resupply the nation with timber and give it resource security in the event of another war. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe Act gave the commissioners power of compulsory purchase and, in Wales, much of what was once common land for shared farming and community use was turned into plantation forestry, only good enough to supply fenceposts, firewood and woodchip.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eThis work explores the role of this legislation in reshaping our relationship with trees in Wales.
