Mae Darganfod Goleuni yn dwyn ynghyd gyfres o ffotograffau atmosfferig o dirwedd Cymru, ynghyd ag ysgrifau personol ar fyd natur gan yr artist a’r awdur Brad Carr.

Mae’r casgliad yn plethu delwedd a gair ysgrifenedig ynghyd fel ymateb hynod bersonol i brofiadau Brad o dirluniau allanol a mewnol. Trwy’r darnau atgofus ac ethereal hyn, mae’n gwahodd y gynulleidfa i’w daith – un o drawsnewid a darganfod – gan gynnig cipolwg ar bŵer adferol bod ym myd natur.

Wedi’u disgrifio gan yr artist fel ‘hunanbortreadau’, mae’r ffotograffau’n cynrychioli ei gyflwr emosiynol ar adeg eu creu. Maent yn darparu golwg ar yr un pryd o'r byd mewnol ac allanol, gan symud rhwng golygfeydd eang o dirweddau gwyllt ac astudiaethau agos o goed hynafol a golygfeydd hudolus o goetir. Mae pob darn yn adrodd stori unigryw, gan ddal eiliadau o fyfyrio, o gysur ac o gysylltiad

Ar ôl codi camera am y tro cyntaf yn ôl yn 2018, mae Brad Carr wedi bod yn mireinio ei grefft yn dawel bach ac yn datblygu ei lais artistig. Mae celfyddyd ffotograffiaeth, iddo ef, yn arfer ysbrydol yn hytrach na hobi neu broffesiwn. Mae ei ffotograffau atgofus o dirwedd Cymru wedi’u trwytho ag arwyddocâd dwfn, gan ddal hanfod heddwch, llonyddwch, ac ymdeimlad dwys o berthyn. Mae’r delweddau hyn yn adlewyrchu taith bersonol Brad, gan atseinio â themâu iachâd ac ailddarganfod ar ôl llywio trwy brofiadau heriol o gam-drin domestig a thrais yn ei flynyddoedd ffurfiannol.

Finding Light: A Journey into Nature to Find My Soul

Finding Light brings together a series of atmospheric photographs of the Welsh landscape, accompanied by intimate nature writing by artist and writer Brad Carr.

This collection weaves together image and written word as a deeply personal response to Brad’s experiences of both external and internal landscapes. Through these evocative and ethereal pieces, he invites the audience into his journey - one of transformation and discovery - offering insight into the restorative power of being in nature.

Described by the artist as ‘self-portraits,’ the photographs represent his emotional state at the time of their creation. They provide a simultaneous view of both the inner and outer world, moving between expansive vistas of wild landscapes and intimate studies of ancient trees and mystical woodland scenes. Each piece tells a unique story, capturing moments of reflection, solace and connection.

Having picked up a camera for the first time back in 2018, Brad Carr has been quietly refining his craft and developing his artistic voice. The art of photography, for him, is a spiritual practice rather than a hobby or profession. His evocative photographs of the Welsh landscape are imbued with deep significance, capturing the essence of peace, tranquility, and a profound sense of belonging. These images reflect Brad's personal journey, resonating with themes of healing and rediscovery after navigating through challenging experiences of domestic abuse and violence in his formative years.
