Audrey is now in a position where she can enjoy making again and is delighted for this to be her first exhibition in 15 years. An ash tree had fallen in Audrey’s \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"NormalTextRun ContextualSpellingAndGrammarErrorV2Themed SCXW91234070 BCX0\"\u003egarden\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW91234070 BCX0\"\u003e and she made a variety of things from it, from furniture, sculpture, paper and even \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW91234070 BCX0\"\u003ean ash\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW91234070 BCX0\"\u003e glaze. I chain sawed out the inside the large cherry branch, set fire to it and rubbed off the carbon deposits. This process leaves the wood silky smooth whilst still leaving the maker’s marks. The wood has then been sealed with an eco-linseed oil and a few coats of olive oil. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eI made the beech sections to fit the outer profile of the vessel.
