Mae Anna yn artist amlddisgyblaethol o Foduan. Mae blynyddoedd o deithio yn Mecsico gyda’i brawd Chris wedi ei hysbrydoli, yn enwedig traddodiadau bywiog carnifalau lleol. Ar hyn o bryd, mae ei gwaith yn archwilio croestoriad o'r dylanwadau Mecsicanaidd hyn a straeon a chymeriadau arwyddocaol ei chymuned gartref, yn enwedig trwy greu celf gwisgadwy. Mae Anna’n cyfoethogi ei phroses artistig ymhellach gyda’i hangerdd at ffotograffiaeth, gan blethu delweddau a ddaliwyd ym Mecsico a’i hamgylchedd leol i greu profiadau y mae rhywun yn gwirioneddol ymgolli ynddynt.

Mae Anna’n dod o hyd i’w hawen yn y bysedd cŵn, gan dynnu ei phatrymau, gweadau a siapiau cynhenid i grefftau celf gwisgadwy wedi’i thrwytho ag egni chwareus, tebyg i garnifal. Mae’r daith artistig hon yn cael ei dyfnhau trwy ffotograffiaeth, sy’n datgelu ymhellach y stori a ddelir o fewn ei phwnc botanegol.

Mae'r bandanas wedi'u hysbrydoli'n benodol gan siambr ofari bysedd y cŵn. Gyda’i lliw a’i siâp nodedig, mae Anna hefyd yn cydnabod cyseiniant pwerus gydag Anne Griffiths, bydwraig yr enwog Dic Aberdaron.

Daw'r ysbrydoliaeth ddeuol hon - ffurf natur a ffigwr hanesyddol - i ben gyda phenwisg ffabrig. Mae'r dyluniad hwn yn awgrymu'n gynnil bresenoldeb Anne y fydwraig o dan y ffabrig, tra hefyd yn gwyrdroi'r label difrïol o 'wrach' a oedd unwaith yn berthnasol i feddygon llysiau, yn chwareus, gan ei drawsnewid yn ffynhonnell egni creadigol cadarnhaol.

Based in Boduan, multi-disciplinary artist Anna draws upon years spent travelling Mexico with her brother Chris, where she was deeply inspired by the vibrant traditions of local carnivals. Currently, her work explores the intersection of these Mexican influences with the stories and significant figures of her own community, particularly through the creation of wearable art. Anna further enriches her artistic process with her passion for photography, weaving together imagery captured in both Mexico and her local surroundings to craft truly immersive experiences.

Anna finds her muse in the foxglove, extracting its intrinsic patterns, textures, and shapes to craft wearable art imbued with a playful, carnival-like energy. This artistic journey is deepened through photography, which further unveils the story held within her botanical subject.

The bandanas are specifically inspired by the foxglove's ovary chamber. Drawn to its distinctive color and shape, Anna also recognizes a powerful resonance with Anne Griffiths, the celebrated midwife of Dic Aberdaron. This dual inspiration—nature's form and a historical figure—culminates in a fabric headpiece. This design subtly suggests the presence of Anne the midwife beneath the fabric, while also playfully subverting the derogatory label of 'witch' once applied to herbalists, transforming it into a source of positive creative energy.
